Denim Series: Learning the Language of Denim

Selvedge, Right Hand Twill, Ring Spun, and Ring Ring. Students left Wednesday's Denim seminar speaking a whole new language—the one industry insiders speak when describing the world's favorite indigo textile. Instructor Tricia Edwards gave students an overview of industry terms while handing out fabric swatches for students to touch, feel, and take home for their files. The fun midday seminars are a small sampling of the new Advanced Study Program, The Business of Denim, starting in 2017.

The Denim Series is held on the LA Campus in the Library Conference room, every Wednesday in August, 11:15 to noon. The series is free and reservations are not necessary.
